"Buddhism: The Seeker's Path"

In April 1999, WCBT sponsored a retreat on the topic of the "path," or way to enlightenment, in Buddhism. As usual, it was a very enjoyable and informative day. For details of the lecture, click here.

The retreat began with an English lecture by Rev. Gyoko Saito, former head-minister of Los Angeles Higashi Honganji	The Japanese lecture was given by Bishop Akinori Imai, who is also minister at the Berkeley Higashi Temple
After the lecture and a delicious lunch, English-speaking participants gathered in a circle for a group discussion.	These discussions are important because they allow for interaction amongst retreat-goers and further clarification of important points.
The Japanese speaking group also enjoyed sharing their questions and insights with Bishop Imai	Joanie Martinez and Diane Hata enjoyed the retreat and fellowship!
