What is The Obon Service?
In the same way that the Bon Odori dancing has a deep Buddhist meaning, which is that we wouldn't be here if it weren't for our ancestors, our Obon Service focuses on the same truth, but in the relative serenity of the temple hondo. Here, we are able to reflect more deeply on the Buddhist teachings.

For this year's service, we are looking forward to hearing the popular Rev. Mas Kodani. Rev. Kodani is adept at communicating the Buddha-Dharma in a down-to-earth manner and using everyday examples. Here is a previous sermon he gave at WCBT.

Following the talk, WCBT will serve a complimentary dinner to all present. Please join us for this wonderful occasion.
